Highlands and Islands Enterprise (website )

‘HIE’ are the economic and community development agency for the Highlands and Islands of Scotland.

The project encompasses many different online services, many of which don’t exist online as yet. They will all be accessible to HIE customers via an online portal.

My role

  • Lead and conduct user research;
  • Responsible for design decisions and output;
  • Prototype & work closely with the dev team;
  • Organise and conduct usability & accessibility testing;
  • Responsible for the user & design related criteria for the Digital First assessments.

Children's Hearings Scotland (website )

Children’s Hearings Scotland recruit, train and support volunteer Panel Members who make legal decisions in children’s hearings.

Our team were tasked with building an online community portal from scratch for Panel Members and staff to use day-to-day.

My role

  • Interview stakeholders;
  • Lead and conduct user research;
  • Prototype, produce deliverables & takeaway actions
  • Responsible for design decisions and output;
  • Organise and conduct usability & accessibility testing;
  • Responsible for the user & design related criteria for the Digital First assessments.
